Center for Human Resources Development on Civil Aviation (CHRDCA)
Center for Human Resources Development on Civil Aviation and its Satellite (UPT) are strategically located in the archipelago and are intended to deliver cadres of air transportation planners, designers, executors, and managers to support government policy throughout the transportation field.
The establishment of the Center for Human Resources Development on Civil Aviation started in 1952 with the establishment of the Indonesian Aviation Academy (API) and confirmed by a Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number: S.5 / 4/55 dated 17 July 1955. The Indonesian Aviation Academy was renamed the Air Transportation Education Institute (LPPU) in 1968, regarding a Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number: U.14 / I / 9/68 dated July 24, 1968.
In 1975, the Civil Aviation Education Institute was split up into three (three) institutions:Civil Aviation Education and Training Centre, Aviation Education and Training (PLP), and Budiarto Airport. The Transportation Training Agency oversees The Civil Aviation Education and Training Centreand PLP, whilethe Directorate General of Civil AviationoverseesBudiarto.
The separation was established by Minister of Transportation Decree Number: KM.415 / U / PHB-75, which was then renewed by Minister of Transportation Decree Number: KM.91 / OT.002 / PHB-80, which was issued on April 22, 1980. Referring to the Minister of Transportation’s Decree Number: KM.24 of 2001, dated June 21, 2001, the institution’s name was changed tothe Center for Human Resources Development on Civil Aviation, as well as its organizational structure.
This decree was renewed by Minister of Transportation Decree No. KM.43 of 2005, dated July 28, 2005, as amended by KM.20 of 2008. The name of the Civil Aviation Education and Training Centre was changed to the Center for Human Resources Development on Civil Aviationby Ministerial Decree Number: KM 60 of 2010 dated November 5, 2010.
